What is it all about?

Have you ever seen an offer at your local farm to sign up for weekly box of fruits and vegetables? Well I did. As tempting as it looks, I had my concerns:

- Does it worth the money I am paying for the program?
- What will I get? What if I don't like something?
- Will I get enough?
- Will I get too much?
And many many others.

My farm was not able to tell what exactly I will be getting each week. "Whatever is in the season this week". Well, that doesn't help...

On another hand, my sister (who lives in a different country) did this one year. The most memorable comment she had back then was "You have to challenge yourself every week. Because you get something you never tried or it doesn't match other veggies in a dish you know".

This could be an interesting discovery along the way! So I accepted the challenge.

This blog was created to capture what I receive and maybe challenges that come along.

week 17

I am so saving thins bright orange #pumpkin !Next week I should have one more and we will do some October crafts with it!

The black berries are Aronia - surprise of this week. They are not easy to eat as is, but extremely good for you! It can help with blood pressure, great any-oxidant and full of vitamins! I am more familiar with its orange sister - berries from mountain-ash. And these lose it's bitter taste if picked after the first frost, not sure about Aronia berries. Either way, I mad jam with apples.
